The Ludden Sportsmen Club was established in 1951 (2021 was our 70th Anniversary year) to develop and preserve wildlife habitat. With over 500 members, over the years the organization has purchased lands to establish habitat and revitalize pheasant restoration.

  • Designated Youth Hunting Land - 144 acres open to youth hunters 16 years and younger
  • Rifle & Pistol Range
  • Trap Shooting Range- Open to 4-H & High School Trap Teams- supplies all the shells & clay pigeons- 2 individuals placed in state competition
  • Archery Range- Has 3-D targets & elevated shooting platform and yardage markers for 3 box targets Sponsored Oakes Archery Club the State, National, & World Archery shoots. They placed 3rd in target shooting and 1st in 3-D shooting
  • Planted over 20,000 trees by 2020 (Covid) 2021 since 09/01/17 to 05/2021 with the help of youth archery and High School Trap teams. Part of the ND Heritage Fund
  • Cleans 10 miles of Highway ditches each spring for NDDOT
  • Donates funds to cities for Christmas Movie for kids & Santa Claus
  • Food plots for Wildlife - Corn & Pollinator plots
  • Duck Nesting Habitats
  • Surrogator for raising & releasing pheasants each year from 200-600 birds
  • In tough winters help feed the deer herds & pheasants by purchasing corn screenings and millet bales
  • RACK IT UP- Is a Hunting & Trophy Show and is a fundraiser for the club and families in need (Accident,Cancer,Etc.) held in March every 3 years. Wild game recipes are cooked for people to try & enjoy the beauty of taxidermy of fish, birds, deer, elk, moose and all other game species.
